WampServer

Hi,
I've just installed the last WAMPServer on a new laptop with Windows XP Pro SP2 (updated).
Everything works if I use the administrator account, but as I try to run Wamp on the unprivileged user account nothing happens. The wamp icon is red and the Apache log doesn't show trace of errors (isn't updated at all).
Comodo Firewall is installed, but it doesn't show blocked connections.

What could be that prevents Apache-mysql-php from starting?

Wamp works in the admin account only... to get around this ul need to do the following...

goto start>run> type in 'services.msc' and press enter

scroll down to the two servcies

wampapache
wampmysql



right click them and select properties.

on the general tab change startup from manual to automatic.

also there is a log on tab accross the top.u can supply a username and password of an admin account and it will start it up the services with out needing to be logged in to admin account

Thanks for the reply. Setting as "automatic" means that it starts at Windows logon? I don't want it to run as a service, but only when I need it.

yes.then leave it on manual.... but still key im username and password
