Sorry to bother with the same problem about local host BUT after installation of WAMP it keeps asking for username and password when I try to connect to localhost. PHP and SQL simply not accesable (page cannot be displayed) . I guess it will not be suprise telling that all installation was strictly by manual
What are these USERNAME and PASSWORD..... Getting miserable....

that's the thing that I did not. I don't even know where to do it. Looks like it is still just a problem with local host, since I cannot get neither to PHP admin (page cannot be displayed) or MYSQL (page cannot be displayed) or local host I simply hate it!

IIS and Apache/Wamp are both web server and both use port 80, so you have to disable IIS in order for Wamp to work

Disable IIS in Vista:

Uninstall Programs, Turn Widows Features On or Off, uncheck Internet Information Services

Disable IIS in XP:

Add/Remove Programs, Add/Remove Windows Components, uncheck Internet Information Services (IIS)

Restart computer, then restart Wamp
