newbie need help in localhost username and password...

hi all, sorry to interrupt for awhile...
i'm totally new to WAMP so hope that if there's any1 1 here can guide me abit?
thanks for the help.. smiling smiley


currently i'm using WAMP5 Version 1.7.3,
but to enter the localhost page,
i'm required to input a username and password...
may i know what's the username and password i should input for first timer?

Did you ever edit any config file? If not, make sure you don't have any other web server :-( Also, check Setup Password guide on my personal website; it looks different since it's for wamp2, but the concept is the same ;-)

hi bro.. thanks for the reply...
so far i din make any changes in the config files and i tried using the latest wampserver 2.0
also faced the same prob...

i've been following ur guide in the installation but in the step 14 to enter the localhost host page,
it still prompt me to enter a username and password...

any idea of it?

at the current i've switch to use EasyPhp and din encounter this prob le..
really thanks to all fellows for help...

but erm.. i wish to ask also...
if i open by .php file through IE/Firefox,
but onli the script come out,
is tehre any error in between?

W/ wamp, I can tell what might cause it, but I don't know the other soft's settings, so I can't help you w/ that
