Good Morning,
My wamp5 tray Icon shows yellow, and will no longer connect to localhost. Port 80 is free an not in use.

Yes Mysql is running, but not apache. I cant get it to restart. Here are the logs.

Have you Turned off ISS?

Do you have the Apache rewrite_module on? I'd start by checking this first considering your error message:


C:/wamp/www/test/.htaccess: Invalid command 'RewriteEngine', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration

I ran into a similar issue and it all related to my .htaccess file.

I'll bet this server recently had the SSL added. He wanted the site to redirect http:// users to https:// they used a .htaccess file with something like:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off
RewriteRule (.*) []%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI}


However, didn't turn on the Apache rewite_module

....at least that was my issue. Afterwards, my problems went away.

Thanks for all the help. Im not sure how to fix LimitInternalRecursion error but im using the mvc pattern so I always use .htaccess rewrite files. The rewrite_mod is check and has been working. Today I tried to simply change my docroot from the wamp default and apache went crazy after I restarted services. Im back to yellow staus again.
