displays nothing on the browser

can someone help me with this problem...i'm having a bad mode in this one..i have installed the wampserver2.0 correctly but when i open the localhost or phpmyadmin on the browser it displays nothing, it is just all white..i have disabled the firewall and i did not installed the IIS of windows xp...i also re-installed it and deleted the wamp folder..but the result is the same..can someone help me out of this???.. T_T

I had the same problem, turned out Skype was using port 80 and 443 as alternatives. Once this was disabled it worked.

Check you do not have anything else sitting on that port. They got a handy utility, click the tray icon, select Apache and then Service and uder there "Test port 80". Should give you an idea of where the problem might be.

i have uninstalled the skype but it is still the same..and also i have re-installed the wampserver2.0 but still the same..i test the port on the wampserver and it displays that the port 80 was use by the apache server..is there another way to solve this problem??..by the way thanks for the response. ^^

In some cases it seems to be solved yo use port 8080 instead.

i have change the port but the result is still the same...by the way can you explain how to change the port??...i want to know the procedure because there might be a mistake of what i have change..thanks for the replies. ^^

Open file httpd.conf, find and replace the number in this line to 81 or 8080, then restart wamp

listen 80

hello, i have similar problem.
my wamp wont run php?! When i type html or css, it is displayed in browser, but when i write php it doesn't work?? Nothing works, even the simplest echo. Any ideas?

You must run your php file(s) through localhost, for example:

http: // localhost/your_file.php

I've solved it, it was something because of my antivirus(nod32), but it reinstalled it and it works great now....
