My first post here. Any useful advice appreciated.

I`ve just installed WAMP on my Vista Ultimate home computer.
I`m trying to get some PHP tutorial scripts to run using the LocalHost.

I can open the PHPinfo() script.
I`ve even put a generic "Hello World" HTML file in the WAMP root directory and that works fine.

But when i try to run the tutorial scripts i keep getting these errors.



"Warning: Unknown: failed to open stream: Permission denied in Unknown on line 0

Fatal error: Unknown: Failed opening required 'C:/wamp/www/phpsolutions/downloads/ch03/book.php' (include_path='.;C:\php5\pear') in Unknown on line 0"




I`m a bit confused about the "include_path" statement because there is no "C:\php5\pear" directory on my computer. All I`ve done is follow the WAMP setup wizard.


Could someone please tell me in detail what I need to do to fix this error??

You need to install PEAR or you should try different scripts since Pear nowadays is not so popular like before

I have the same sort of problem, but only with a Joomla template on Joomla 1.5. No error with same template and Joomla 1.014.

I am sure it in the INCLUDE_PATH instruction in php.ini and/or in the php file that is setting up the template, but I don't know how to fix it.
