if you want the file to let's say chmod 644 or chmod 444 right click the file in the www directory and click properties and check read-only. if found this works on files for certain php frameworks

hi dsirns this procedure works for files, but doesn't work for folders, anybody can help me out changing folder CHMOD from 777 to 755 or not writable mode?

it's the same on folder, just set it to Read-Only
