MySQL GUI Service or Configuration file missing

I have installed WampServer 2.0 [11/21/2007] on windows xp which works fine and phpmyadmin works.
However I have tried installing the MySQL GUI Tools and when I open the tools I get an error saying ..
Cannot find service or configuration file so startup variables are not accessible... something like that...
The service is running in windows services..
I have googled and found other people have had this problem, some who solved by adding port=3306 in my.ini
But with the above release this is already set.
Please Help..

Use MysqlSystemTrayMonitor to edit the path for Service to correct my.ini
