Whn clicking on the taskbar icon, I chose to "put online", and I can access the page via [192.168.2.10]

Thanks! Ok it gives me another IP, which is good news.

However, I get a page which says:

User Login - Failed

Access permission is currently denied

You need to enable port 80 in all routers for global access

Sorry, this might sound like a dumb question.

I'm basically running wamp server from my laptop. How do I enable port 80 on the routers? Or is there something I misunderstood?

Yep, it's a very dumb question, but it's ok since I had questions that's more stupid when I first began. Anyway, don't tell me that you connect your laptop directly to satellite or so; you MUST connect it through, at least, a wireless router and you have to enable port 80 in that router. On the other hand, if you have no access to the routers, such as in school, coffee shop, book store, so on, I'm afraid your wamp can NOT be accessed globally

Sorry Im connected directly via a DSL modem . There are no routers here.

So I MUST have a router in order to have my files become globally accessible ?

As far as I know, only some modem have features that you can setup the ways you want, but most modem just simple perform the transmissions, so you can NOT do nothing, so if you want to enable port, you should connect your modem to router, then setup router to enable ports
