Winamp 5 default page missing

Hi everyone,

After I install winamp 5 and have the tray icon all white,
I go to the local host page (via winamp 5 tray icon) and
all I get is a comment in the left corner of my browser
saying 'it works'.

I am expecting to see the winamp5 default page but don't.
(IE. server configuration, tools, your projects etc..)

Can some one help me?

Thanks,

Brian From Brampton

I think you mean that you've installed WAMP5 not winamp.

Look in your www dir and look for index.php, if it's not there. Try to install the new wampserver 2.0.

Your install file might be corrupted, you can get another one from my server here:

Hi,

After reading this thread...I did as suggested, and downloaded
a new copy of wamp5 (not winamp ... sorry for the error).
Thanks for the direction and help, but I am still in the rut...

I installed the program, and it asked me if I wanted to replace the home
page to that of 'wamp' i clicked yes.

Then I ran wamp 5, and to my dismay and utter fustration,
I still have the same default page error, but I also have
only my apache software operating, and the msql does not
want to initiate (Ie wamp5 is 3/4 yellow & 1/4 white)

I tried to log into the mysql, but to no avail.

Obvious this is a symptom of another issue. But I have no idea of what
the underlying problem really is...and how to fix it.

Has any one experience this before, and can some one help.

Thanks in advance,

Brian (the fustrated) in Brampton

Before re-installing, you MUST uninstall the old wamp, delete that old wamp folder, clean wampapache and wampmysql in registry, restart computer, then re-install wamp

Hi,

Thanks for the information, I think what happened is I
missed some registry items or something...I don't
really know what...but my local server now works.

So thank you very much for your help.

Thanks,

Brian From Brampton
