problem in connecting to mysqlserver using php myadmin

hi,
i installed wamp5_1.7.4 on windows vista OS ,i am having a problem connecting to mysqlserver using php
myadmin.i had configured the config.php in php myadmin folder i.e i had changed the password (user:root)
in php myadmin sucessfully, but my mysqlserver is not connected to php myadmin getting an error message.
can any one explain me clearly connection to mysql server using php myadmin .
