WampServer

Hi newbe to this, I am trying to wampserver woring. I install the server ok server is online but when i try and view localhost all i get is HTTP 404 Not Found help me please.

Try checking your /www/ directory for index.php. It is probably missing. Just throw an HTML page (index.html for example) in that /www/ directory and try opening [localhost]

Still receive the error after testing this??

I tried that still the same, index.php is there and html files dont work.

The file index.php in /www is only for localhost main page... If would you like see for example index.html from /www you must you this link: localhost/index.html... I prefer create new folder in /www like this /www/newfolder and working with it...

I think your problem is wamp doesn't run at all, so make sure you don't have any other apache or web server such as iis, so on, running on your unit. If you did, you should uninstall it, delete its root folder, clean its registry in order for this wamp to work. Also, make sure to enable port 80 in all firewalls and routers
