I tried installing the PEAR library by simply running C:\wamp\php\go-pear.bat from the DOS command line. FYI, I'm running Windows XP, and WAMP works fine.
By the way, do I have to download any files before trying to install PEAR, or are all the needed files already included?

Here's what happened (my comments come after double-slashes //):

So what might be wrong?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

If I don't remember wrong, when installing from the batch file as you did, it will try to download the need files, and will fail, so you should manually download the files first
