Hi there:
I have sent up all the file and ready to publish my site. However, i did not know how to put it up on the web as i type my web ip , my browser keep uploading but it never come out. How should i fix it, thanks in advance

Hi,

Does your site work when you use the browser inside your LAN? Have you forwarded TCP port 80 at the firewall to the WAMP server? Does you httpd.conf file or virtual host setup allow access to the site from the internet?

These are questions that could help you to sort out the problem. If you do search on this forum for the following key words, you would find plenty of earlier posts about similar problems and how to solve them:
- port 80
- port forwarding
- virtual host

Make sure to enable port 80 in all firewalls, and forward port 80 in all routers as well.

Through wamp tray icon, put your server in online mode.

Save all your files in c:/wamp/www/your_folder and access as follows:

[your.web.ip.here]

Check your web ip w/ this:

[whereismyip.com]

i did exactly the same, but it gives file not found error404.

http://[my-ip-address]/[my-folder]/[my-php-file] - NOT WORKING - ERROR 404

[localhost][my-folder]/[my-php-file] - WORKING

i hv wampserver in online mode, Dont know the problem is.

please help.

Already mentioned, make sure to use web ip, not LAN ip, also make sure your isp don't block port 80; if they do, change 80 to 81 or 8080 in httpd.conf and restart wamp to take effect, then access w/ web_ip:81
