Can't write to new table

Hi, I am a serious noob... irritating thing is yesterday I managed to create a database and some tables, write to them and then query the table and get the info out. today however, my new project claims theres nothing in the table, in phpMyAdmin it won't let me browse the table contents either... I am working out of a poorly written book and know zero people with PHP/MySQL experience... please could you help me out, Il'l be forever grateful!!

you may want to read some tutorials (google helps winking smiley
