Hi,

I have a double question:

Does WAMP runs under a PII400Mhz with 256MB ?
Would PHPbb run too?

Thanks

If you use it for you only and for testing phpbb locally only, it should be fine, but it might be crashed if you broadcast it for too many people logging in at the time

Hi,

The real question is whether Windows runs in the environment, and how fast - or slowly it runs. Windows NT and 2000 would probably run all right, but NT would be faster. If the hard drive is reasonably new, say 40GB instead of the original 2GB or even less, you should be all right with the speed, but it would help if you can find an extra 128MB of RAM from a scrapyard :-) My experience in installing and maintaining Apache, PHP and MySQL on a PII is based on Red Hat 9, i.e. non-WAMP environment.
