I had been using Wamp 1.6.7 I believe up until I had a hard drive crash. I fortunately had all my files backed-up. When I did my restore I decided to use the new version 1.7.3. I must be missing something because when I go to access my pages that use the database I get this error:
"Access denied for user 'myusername'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in C:\wamp\www\website\config.php on line 3
Unable to connect to DB: Access denied for user 'myusername'@'localhost' (using password: YES)"
I added my username & password in phpMyAdmin Privileges. I can't figure it out HELP!!!.

Thanks in advance

Dave

1.6.7??? I've never heard they had this version, but anyway, since version 1.7.0 it's not compatible/upgradable w/ older version 1.6.6 and older; in other words, only backup other db but not mysql, then setup password in TWO PLACES just like you did before

If you can't recall how, check Setup Password section on my site for the idea

Have fun,

It was 1.6.6, I found it on a CD that I'd saved my download to. I uninstalled 1.7.3, installed 1.6.6 , changed username & password in phpMyAdmin & I'm good to go. Works great!! Thanks for your quick reply.
