how to access wamp server on clients w/o using IP address server.

Can everybody help me, I'm stock in this problem..How can I setup DNS in wamp server?..Because when I'm accessing a website in other computer using intranet, I want to access it w/o using the IP address of the server.

If you have an internal DNS server it should contain entries for all of the computers/servers by name. Say my server is called SERVER1, you should be able to type that in place of the IP address anywhere inside of the network. The DNS entries should be viewable from the MMC on your domain controller.

Hi,

If you do not have a domain controller, you can just add the internal IP address and the name of the other server to the hosts file in the PC where the WAMP server is installed: c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts.
