rar and zip extensions

Hi,
I am having a problem using either the rar or the zip extension. I have downloaded the .ddl-s from php.net, and have them enabled in the Wamp extensions menu, but when I try to open an archive I get an unable to open file error in both. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Maybe just use winzip, and manually upload the files?
Use... WinZIP or WInRaR? Maybe that will solve the problem? Or at least for the time being.

Thanks, but the problem is that I want to extract files uploaded by others, so that's no good.

Ah ok, sorry that one is outa my league for right now.
I hope you get it working, I would be curious on how as well if i run into this problem.
