I have tried to install wamp5_1.7.2 at my laptop(XP with service pack2) where skype was installed. The wamp is getting installed, all services running but i cannot access localhost. I changed httpd.conf change default port from 80 to 81 and after restarting wamp it was running.

I checked skype configuration and have seen "Use port 80 and 443 for incoming connection is deselected", yet wamp was not running.

Is it a bug? any idea?

if you change apache's default port you neeed to add that new port the url:
[localhost]

Restart the skype after deselecting the skype configuration option. Skype warns you that you have to restart skype after changing this option :-)
