Hi,

I have installed the latest Wamp version on my machine (running XP SP2). Everything installs smoothly with no errors. All the services are running (Apache and MySQL). For some reason though the php code I put in any file (wether it's a php file or a html file) doesn't work.

I've tried both the short tags (<? ... ?> and the long ones (<?php ... ?> but all the php code is simply ignored. The only code that comes up is the html. I have the files in the localhost directory (C:\wamp\www).

Can anyone help me out? What can be causing this?

type [localhost] in your web browser address bar to access your website files. if you open the files locally using the file -> open to open the index.php file, the php code will not be parsed by apache and not display. make sure you use full php tags.
