WampServer

I've installed wamp, and pointed the www directory to my dev folder, when I go to localhost/myproject I get the index page served up as raw code, i.e. apache seems to be working but not php. the Php5 module appears to be referenced in the httpd.conf file.
Do I need to set something else to get php working?
