php file download

Hello all,

I have installed the latest version of WAMP but when I try to access .php files from html, it tries to download the php file.

any ideas?

any file that has php code in it needs to have the extension .php, not .htm or .html. apache cannot parse the php code from the webpage unless it knows by the extension of the file that that file has code to parse. also make sure you put all you webpages in your c:\wamp\www folder, and access them using [localhost], do not open the php file directly in your webbrowser.
