WampServer

Hi,

I am completely new to developing sites in PHP. Our host is running PHP4.1 right now and I was wondering if WAMP5 will work with it.

I do not have PHP/APACHE/SQL loaded on my system yet to support our site development.

Is the current version of WAMP5 backward compatible? I have Dreamweaver MX installed on my computer (XP is my O/S).

install wamp, then download and install the wamp php4 addon. install it. start wamp and select switch to php4. wamp will stop, switch to php4 and restart again and you will be using php4.

to test, run phpini() and make sure it says php4
