hello roms. I have noticed many people, especially newbies, want to use wamp for a production server. i have posted in topics many times as well as added a section to my manual about security issues using wamp for a production environment.
I spent today trolling the internet to find some way to help make wamp much more secure for use as a production server, and I came across this gem called mod_security. it is an mod that provides intrusion detection and prevention for web applications. It aims at shielding web applications from known and unknown attacks, such as SQL injection attacks, cross-site scripting, path traversal attacks, etc. it is not a part of the apache core, it is a third party module.
http://www.modsecurity.org/they have a windows binary build of mod_security here:
http://www.apachelounge.com/download/though this would be a good thing to include in wamp, or possibly an add-on.
