GD Library No Working

Hello
I've loaded wamp 1.7.0 on an Windows XP machine. I cannot access the gd library
I have uncommented the "extension=php_gd2.dll" line in the php ini file.
The php_gd2.dll resides in the c/wamp/php/ext directory.
Seems to be ok on my Win 2k machine.
Would appreciate any help.

make sure you restart apache after you make any changes in your php.ini or httpd.conf file for the new settings to take effect.
