WAMP Re-Install

Folks, I never cd get MySQL serving - apache and PHP worked fine - on an XP install of several months ago. So I thought I'd install the current WAMP release right over the old one. (I have my scripts saved off elsewhere.)

But now Apache complains abount some entry point into apache.exe dll not found, and won't start, of course.

Is there some wipe or uninstall step I missed? Thanks.

you need to make sure you completely remove wamp before reinstalling.

1) if you have any websites in your c:\wamp\www folder, back them up and save them somewhere on your computer.

2) if you have any data in your mysql database(s) then use phpmyadmin to export your tables and data to an sql file and put is somewhere safe.

3) stop wamp if it is running

4) uninstall wamp

5) remove the whole c:\wamp folder

6) restart your computer

7) install wamp

8) put your backup website files back into c:\wamp\wwww

9) start wamp, run phpmyadmin and import your website sql file.
