My server dies after a couple of minutes

Hi!

I have a Sempron 2600 with 256 DDR, running Windows 2003 Server. I installed Wamp, Apache & Php (and i don't need Sql, yet).

My server closes without leaving any trace. The apache_error log says nothing.
Is like i have to watch the server every 15 minutes before i realize it is down, and then i have to bring him to life over and over again. I made a resident program: is watching a php file on my site, and when this file cannot be reached, reinitializes the apache service. But sometimes, the server is down and the program didn't work for some reason.

The point is, that my web server drops every 15, 30 minutes or every hour. I tried a lot of combinations on MaxRequestPerChild and all that stuff on the httpd.conf, but the trouble still happens.

it's about hardware? software? drivers and configurations? Please, help me or i have to write a most powerful resident program.

Regards.

make sure you restart apache anytime you edit the httpd.conf file. also make sure that apache is allowed in your firewall and windows firewall.

I have Win 2003 Server without firewall, and my modem router's firewall is allowing the traffic. IIS is not installed.

I don't know what to say...
