WampServer

Is it correct that when you hover over the little wamp icon on the task bar that it says:

WAMP5 All services running - server offline

When it says everything is running but i can not connect Dreamweaver to my database.

I do not have IIS running or installed. I do not have skype.

I have in the past had xampp but uninstalled it.

however if i go to control panel and open the services local under the administrative tools I still see XAMPP service at the bottom of the list. I disabled it but i am wondering if that may be somewhere still on my system.

So should the hover say "server offline" or is this the cause of my problems.

Someone with a working Wamp just hover your mouse over the Wamp icon in the task bar and tell me if it says "server offline"

I have to figure this out soon or look elsewhere for a different server solution.

When in off-line mode, only local have access.

When in on-line mode, your server can be accessible by outsiders.

Switch on and off through tray icon.
