I just uninstalled the WAMP 1.6.x and installed the new WAMP 1.7.0 but i can't get it to work with PHP code. I have noticed a few things left out in the current http.conf file that i was filling out myself but this time i can't find the problem. It really seems to be something wrong with this WAMP release...
I am using wamp 1.7.0 with no problems. before you install 1.7.0 you should have backed up all your website files ( c:\wamp\www ), backup your database(s) usign phpmyadmin. then uninstall your older version of wamp. then totally delete the c:\wamp folder. restart computer. now install the latest version of wamp. put all your website files back, start wamp, and then import your databases back to phpmyadmin.
if you have any other versions of apache or mysql running, wamp will not start. or you will only get one to start.

Well, i had the same problem..an hour ago.... i changed the settings of firewall and every thing is fine now... at first i tried ver 1.6.x muliptle times, check port etc... and finally allowed the mysqladmin in fire wall exceptions settings... Cheers
I installed new wamp 1.7.0 and when i get the following error :
Catchable fatal error: Object of class nested could not be converted to string in C:\wamp\www\.....\.....\aqm\nested\nested.php on line 56
I looked for this kind of error and at first sight i tought is because of this new version. Can anyone advice me how to fix it? Otherwise ill unistall it and install an older version.
