Login local but get redirected

hi all,

got a problem, with phpbb forum. I run it local now at [localhost] (using latest wamp package) to test my changes.
But when I run it local and login on the forum I get automatically redirected to the "real" forum that is online to login there.
Might be a forum config file where I need to change that?
Any ideas why I can't login on my forum when I run it local?

Even I'm testing both phpbb2 and phpbb3, but never actually tried it locally, so you might want to post this question in phpbb forums

maybe better, but just about searched everything to find a solution. Hoped someone using the wamp also has been in the same situation.

I've just installed it locally, but didn't have that problem. Did you change anything in config file? For example, dsn is localhost instead your_domain.com.

only way to get the forum open up locally is when i set the username to " root " and leave the password blank. This is in my config.php.

Forum opens up fine, but once i login with my admin account I get redirected to the original site that is online to login there.

Did you create a mysql account including mysql db, mysql username, and mysql user's password before installing phpbb?
