Need Help w/ ver. 1.7.0

Wamp5_1.6.6 was working great, however I uninstalled, and reinstalled ver.1.7.0
After the wampserver is running, I can not access [localhost] (I get the famous "HTTP 403 forbidden" error) unless I set it as "Put Online". Once it's online I can not acces "PHPmyadmin" nor "SQLitemanager" (links in index.php).
I can access MySQL server through "MySQL Administrator" & "MySQL Query Browser".
I running under Win2K and going to place it in a winxp aswell. Prior to installing into that environment, I would like some help resolving the issue.
