WampServer

hi! i have use wamp5 few years now. i wanted to try to install apache, mysql and php manually, so i begin to do that. that worked not so good, so i unistalled all the programs and installed wamp5 again. now says the program that it cant find the file wampmanager.exe. i have look in the properties-window for the file and everything shows right. when i start the program, only apache are available but not mysql. i cant even install the service!

under the time i had php, apache and mysql installed manually, i tryed every solution i could find in my head. i could have misstyped something, so the mysql-server cant respond to the wamp5-command or something!

im sorry for my english but im comming from sweden. that says it all, right?

now to my question: how can i fix this problem?

After uninstall apache, mysql, and php that you manually installed, did you search and delete all related files in windows and registry as well. If not, you might have to uninstall this wamp and before re-install it, make sure to delete all related wampapache, wampmysql, apache, mysql, and php in windows and registry

thanks for your fast answer but it dosent work at all i cant delete few registrykeys or whatever because of something i dont know. i just cant delete them they have the name "wampapache". any idea how i can delete these keys?

Did you already uninstall wamp before doing so? If still having problem, restart your computer, then re-do it.

hi again!

i have restarted my computer but failed when i tryed to delete the keys. i also tryed to go to windows xp troubleshooting or something... felsäkert läge in swedish. F8 when you starts your computer and choosing ... something. i hope you understand

nothing works! its like that these keys are forbidden to delete *angry*

EDIT: i have deleted all keys now whos related to wampapache, wampmysql, php, apache and mysql, but wamp5 1.7.0 will not work anyway! whats wrong now?

You've got me there because I'm still using wamp5 1.6.5, the most stable version, I mean at least to me, and of course, w/ win xp, even I'm already got my free full Vista Business and Office 07 Pro from M$. I might install both in my laptop, after backup everything, not on my live server though.

ok. but i have fix the problem now i was very desperate to get wamp5 to work, so i formated my C-drive and installed windows xp. wamp5 1.7.0 works like the wind now thanks a lot for your help, yfastud.

So either your cleanup was not really clean as you thought or might be something in the way. If in the second case, install all your software back, but after each install, make sure to test your wamp that works properly.

I have a problem during instalation of WAMP at the same begining!!!
Sistem could not find the file specified.

Various antivirus like nod32 are deleting wampmanage.exe when the antivirus are not updated.

Please update yours antivirus and virus definitions
