WampServer

I'm having a hard time setting up a network folder so that I can access it with php's opendir or readdir functions.

What is the proper way to set this up? I have the folders mapped to a drive on the wamp server, which doesn't work. And I've tried addressing the networked computer directly through the same address I'd use in explorer... \\computername\directory\subdir\

Nothing is working for me. Aliases can't be created properly of a network folder.

Is there a way to do this?
