I can enter my IP Address into my broswer and the site that Im running appears. - However when I give my IP Address out for someone else to view the site, everyone tells me the IP address does not work.

Any idea's why it's working for me, but not when I give it to other people to view it?

By default, your server is blocked by outside access. Enable it by put your server in online mode through tray icon, and make sure to forward port in your router too.

Have fun

Hi,
I have the same problem as the original poster. My server is set to online mode and I'm not using a router. Nevertheless, it can't be accessed from outside.
Any help would be appreciated

In your computer that has wamp installed, when you type in your web ip, do you see your sites or not? If not, did you enable port 80 in all your firewalls yet?

Check my old post here for the idea

yfastud,

When I type my web ip, on the computer with WAMP installed, I do see the site. But it doesn't load up from the outside.
My Windows firewall is off. I have ZoneAlarm set to allow apache thru, and even when I turn it completely off, it still doesn't work.

Some more info which should be useful:
Today I installed the latest version of wamp (I had 1.6.4 till now). Still the same problem, but checking the error log, I see:
"(OS 121)The semaphore timeout period has expired. : winnt_accept: Asynchronous AcceptEx failed."
This reminded me that I had the same message in the error log with 1.6.4 when I first installed about 6 months ago. What I did then, after a cursory search for a solution, was add Win32DisableAcceptEx to httpd.conf. Needless to say it didn't fix anything, only the message in the error log stopped appearing.
Does this help narrow in on the problem?
