noob question - cant open pages

Hi, this may seem like a bit of a dumb question. But I cant get php pages to work in my browser. I've installed wamp correctly as far as i know, when i hover over the icon in the tray, it says "WAMPS - 1 of 2 services running - server online"

When i open up the index file in the www folder, or a test page with <? phpinfo(); ?> in it, it asks me to either open with firefox or dreamweaver, or save it. When i select open with firefox, it opens a new tab and asks me again what i want to do. Save it and open it again, it has nothing in the file.

I'm a bit stumped at this, and i've asked another techy guy who knows more php than me and he's stumped too...

Oh..i'm running windows xp if that helps..

My system doesn't have bugs, it just develops random features.

First thing first, "1 of 2 services running" is no good; it should have "All services running", so if you left click on tray icon, which service has square icon in front is no good; check error log for that service to find out what wrong. Secondly, to access your sites, save your_files.php in /wamp/www/your_new_folder and access like this

Thanks.

Got all services running.

Just needed to install them both, and restart. Seems skype was on the same port and preventing it from working.
