Hey, I'm trying to install CGI Proxy ( [www.jmarshall.com] ) but I can't figure out how to use it. I installed the active perl thing, but I honestly don't quite know how perl works and how to call stuff. Can anybody help?

Thanks
~Moo

i dont know why wamp does not do this for you automatically, bu t after you install activeperl, there are some configurations you will have to do yourself to get perl to work with wamp.

first, open your httpd.conf file and find this line:
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks

to allow cgi support we need to add ExecCGI to the line. change it to:
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks ExecCGI

next we need to tell apache what to do when it runs a cgi file by adding an AddHandler for CGI. your httpd.conf file comes with this setting in the the config file, but it is disabled, so we need to enable it. find:
#AddHandler cgi-script .cgi

now remove the pound sign at the beginning of the line to enable it:
AddHandler cgi-script .cgi

now save your httpd.conf file and restart apache for the new settings to take effect.

you now will need to make sure you put the correct location to perl in all your .cgi files, so make sure you change the path to perl in your scripts to this:
#!c:/wamp/Perl/bin/perl.exe

Also, if you have .pl files, make sure to include it as follows

AddHandler cgi-script .cgi .pl

Hmmm, how do I call scripts in the first place? Do either of you have AIM? Mine is ThePilgrimSays and I'd appreciate some help.

But I as I said, I'm using something called Wamp5.. I just installed an addon from their website.
And then I have followed a few steps I found here in this forum when I configured "httpd.conf".
