Hi,

I am currently running WAMP on Windows Server 2003.
When browsing web content ON THE MACHINE, everthing works great. Full spead.

But when I am browsing from another computer on the network the response time is about 15-30 sec. After this the page loads properly.

File-sharing, MySQL communication, Remote Desktop etc... everything works great. The only problem is the web content sent put by apache.

Browsing from other computers worked at the beginning, this problem has come later on.

Please give me your suggestions.

Olcay

I had the same problem with PHP pages under Windows XP. I turned off indexing, set the process scheduling for background services, memory usage for system cache, and installed the Zend optimizer add-on: [www.wampserver.com].
It runs great now!

when you are developing pages locally and testing your server using [localhost], your speed will be fast because your web page is being loaded locally, not by the internet.

also remember that your upload speed is not not as fast as your download speed. So, if you are on dialup, it will take quite a while for you site to load. even upload speeds for broadband users are limited.

to test your upload speed check out dslreports.com
