WampServer

I have WAMP5 1.6.6. I'm trying to install phpBB2, but I am getting the following errors:

With normal phpBB2 installation:
The PHP configuration on your server doesn't support the database type that you chose

With phpBB-php5 (http://phpbb-php5mod.sourceforge.net/):
Using Database Type: MySQL 4.x /w MySQLi
An error occurred trying to update the database
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '(user_id), KEY user_session_time (user_session_time) )' at line 49

Using Database Type: MySQL 3.x
Blank page



When I use the phpBB-php5 mod on MySQL 4.x /w MySQLi, the tables in the database get created, but they are empty.

Any help appreciated.

2 questions:

1. Where did you get that mysql 4.x and 3.x?

2. It only takes from 5 to max 10 min to install either phpbb2 or phpbb3 since all needed requirement already come w/ wampserver package, so I don't know why you get that problem? Did you edit anything?

1. I tried using a mod called phpbb-php5 mod. Here's the URL [phpbb-php5mod.sourceforge.net]

2. I know it should be quick to install, but it's not working for me with WAMP. I've installed phpBB on linux servers, but never with WAMP. I changed a few settings in my php.ini file, but no MySQL settings.

Not sure what the different b/w that mod and normal phbb2 or phpbb3. Why don't you try to download and install the regular ones first?
