ok the server works fine i have dns on my ip adress and everything.. but i get this error message when i install mysql.. i dont no what the problem could be.

Your site, is not coming up. What is the error and how did you get it?

ok sory only i can see it then but im trying to install the mysql service from the tray menu and i get this error message

Could Not Execute Menu Item(internal error)
[Exeption]Could Not Execute Run Action
The Process Cannot Acess The File Because It Is Being Used By Another Process

im just guessing but could this mean its already installed on a port? but its saying on the service manager that 1 of 2 services are running the one thats running is apache.. what file do i need to edit to get the mysql running.

MySQL runs on port 3306. Unless you know how MySQL works, I don't think you put anything on 2206.

Did you make any changes to the installed WAMP platform?

Have you rebooted your machine and let WAMP auto-startup?

yea its just saying this process is already being used by another process

on installation i got 4 error messages.. they where the bat files..

apache is on port 80 and working fine.

whats the wamp platform? do i need to change anything.

i put a vb forum in www directory and installed it but couldnt connect to mysql

Do you have any database now or before? Better completely uninstall that 1 before install wamp. For now, temporary disable that one and restart all services of wamp. if wamp works, so you know what to do, if not, check last 10 lines of mysql log to see what wrong.

hahha my error log is blank.

this is my first time installing any server components tell you the truth i was just going to buy a server from hp lol

all my cmd promts are blocked so im going to see if a spyware remooval works

tho i can open the mysql console in there can i set it up in the console?

Do you mean a host or a hardware? If hw, you still have to install all needed sw to run as a server.

everything works now... remooved my spyware is was blockin cmd.exe
