Check you ip by this [whereismyip.com] then type that number in your browser.

5 min, just type your ip in the browser if you connect directly to internet, not through any hardware such as router, hub, switch, or any software such as firewall, internet optimizer, so on, and of course, it will take much longer if configuring w/ all soft/hardware.

If just for testing w/ a very simple page, another 5 min, but it would take days, wks, or even mths if you want a very perfect web sites. Even me, I don't even have a good appearance for my JLBN.com web site yet.

Just put test_page.html in test_folder like this

c:/wamp/www/test_folder/test_page.html

And access like this

[your_ip]

Or check this post, replace localhost w/ your ip

Anyway, after testing successful, install other soft/harware 1 by 1 and remember to test wampserver after EACH and EVERY installation.

I get everything down now. I can visite the:

[localhost]
[localhost]
[localhost]

port 80 enable is testing successful. and working very good. And now I must turn of the
firewall and the importan software...

@ljzxtww: DO NOT TURN OFF ANY PROTECTION APPLICATIONS. Leave the firewall and virus/malware programs running.

Here are a few things you're supposed to know but were never told:

1. Check with your provider BEFORE you run a Server, to make sure you CAN run a Server. Most ISP's don't allow this and you can be in violation of any Terms of Service.

2. You don't need 8080 or 81 turned on, unless you got the okay from your ISP and they told you to open that port.

3. You can run your Server anytime you want. Remember that when you shut that machine down, visitors will get a "404 - Page Not Found" error.

Go to [ipchicken.com] - that IP is the one your machine is tied to. Try that IP in your browser.

For example if the IPChicken says your IP is 10.100.100.1 then in your browser you'ld type in [10.100.100.1] and hit enter.

If you get anything other than your page - Apache is NOT working correctly.

Where Can I setup and correctly Apache Please tell me. My Ip is not work .the only thing is [localhost] not IP

If i Want to run a web server. So I must take down my firewall/virus scanner?

Yes. I got my Ip. My IP is 71.129.57.192.

I dont know why I can not visite My site in my own computer.

It said: The page cannot be displayed

But not work

For accessing site by ip, I've already mentioned about that: enable port 80 in all firewall, router, so on, and it will take effect almost immediately except if you're having dns. Even w/ dns, only the first time setup might takes up from 6 to 72hrs, after that only seconds.

Do they have port 80 disabled? Do you have it enabled? As yfastud mentioned, it takes a little time for propigation, but you should see it instantly from your point of view.

Sounds like something is wrong with either your .htaccess file, or the info you have in your ServerRoot or DocumentRoot in httpd.conf file in Apache.

Are you trying to serve from a folder NOT indicated in Apache?
