try installing Apache, MySQL & PHPMyAdmin separately.
that should fix your issue. tongue sticking out smiley

wamp is for development use, we dont want external access because if we do that people could use it for other commercial-greedy-selfish purposes.. hehe

wampserver already include all of them right out the box

Ask yourself this question "is this server name setup correctly for worldwide access?"

obviously wamp has it all, BUT we have discussed previously wether wamp is designed to work externally or just internally and your own words were Wamp is NOT designed to work globally.
so my guess was to install everything separated because that have worked at the company i worked for before.
anyway...
my wamp seems to work globally. i mean, we were able to access my images gallery, im able to insert, delete, modify mysql database rows, etc...

so... i guess windows OS have such a big range of possible configurations that sometimes issues like this occur on some computers and not in others.

good luck.

When buying computer, it often comes w/ a lot of applications which might lead to the conflict, but you can avoid that by install clean windows, and if you really into server like me, only install what are needed for the server only. For example, all my 3 computers only has windows xp pro w/ sp2, mcAfee, wampserver, ftp server, mail server, webmail, phpbb2 forum, and cms joomla, so on. Why 3? If you're really into server as mentioned, you probably knew the answer. He he ;-), of course I use my laptop for other computer needs

What you need to do if your using a router, is make sure the router firewall is setup to allow your HTTP Port 80 setting to be allowed.

As well as other firewalls like Windows Firewall, were you need to add an exception to it to allow Port 80.
