mysql problems

so I installed wamp a while ago, btw great package....anyways, as of recently some of my larger sql quieries have started, well I duno how to explain it other than they just wont go through lol...and so I still have the default localhost mainpage where it shows you what all you have installed and now I noticed that it says "MySQL version :MySQL not launched or bad phpmyadmin config ...I know for a fact mysql is running because I can look at it via phpmyadmin....but I duno why it is saying this....can someone please help me sort this out? thanks.

Hi Xeandor, you could try to debug the problem by:

1. Put the server off-line. Stop both the MySQL and Apache services.
2. Open each error log file and look at the bottom.
3. Start all services and put the server back on-line. Check the error logs again -- chances are that one of them will direct you to the problem.

If that doesn't tell you anything, one of the config files might have been changed adversely (my.ini, php.ini, etc.) Good luck.
