Well done people!! This forum has been a fantastic resource in getting my developmental web server up and running at home.

To the issue:
==========
I've installed apache etc and am accessing from another PC in the house no probs. Installed Mambo and works ok. Images are loading at the local host no probs but what it's not doing is loading images from the connecting PC. I know Im missing probably an obvious component but its not jumping out at me.

Any help or pointers would be appreciated.

I'm new to all these web server thingies so please be kind.

to access your server from another computer you will need to put wamp in online mode. you can do that using the wamp tray icon menu.

Actually, you're not the only one and there are some other people get the same problem w/ flash and images recently. Still try to figure out what wrong w/ it since I'm using 1.6.5 and mine work fine here:

Lots of mucking round - still no luck.

I've decided to use JOOMLA - works great and very reliable

Now for some reason after a week running my Apache service has stopped running &^%&% for no apparent reason.

Have read other posts and tried some fixes --- for a first time (but reasonably It savvy) Im pulling my hair out...

Forget my last msg - I've fixed it. Seems a network monitoring tool I installed was sharing port 80. Dohh!!
