Did indiv. downloads, switching to WAMP 5?

I'm getting frustrated with MySQL. I haven't attempted php, yet, but Apache was no trouble to install.

I was thinking of installing the versions from here. What would I have to do before attempting to install WAMP? I installed Apache back in July; would I have to delete and reinstall with WAMP5?

Are there any remnants of these programs I'd need to look for, and how? I saw mention of some way to do this, but I'm not familiar with it. I've been using Windows Explorer.

Edit; found answer to this last one: regedit. I didn't see MySQL, since I deleted and tried to delete all files associated with that install-gone-bad.

Thanks,

ReginaG
PS. I have XP, SP2.

Okay, I made the change to WAMP5.

Now, I can't get SQLiteManager nor MySQL to run. GRR!!! Let's see, when I started PHPmyadmin, it said MySQL says, "Access denied. #2003 The server is not responding."
