php not executing

New install on windows 2000 server. Apache server is working ok, but went I test the php only the html portion of the page reads with no errors indicated. The server is patitioned into 3 drives. Wampserver is installed on D: Drive under program/wamp. The Egrinning smileyrive with the root folder wwwRoot as the data folder with all the web sites.

Any help is greatly appreaciated.

Hi,
this seems to be a short_open_tags issue. Use <?php instead of <?

Problem solved, Yes when I added the full <?php, test screen comes up everything worked
