WampServer

I have been using wamp to develop php websites for a while, but have recently ventured into using rails. However I cannot seem to use the mysql database contained in wamp. Am I missing something? I am not a database manager and do not understand what I would need to do to get things working. If somebody could shed some light on this for me I would greatly appreciate it.

I have ruby as well as rails installed and working like a champ, just cant get mysql to connect.

Nevermind, I got it working quite well. Had to reinstall ruby and rails in the wamp directory and it works like a champ. I was even able to get apache to work with it using fastcgi using this tutorial:

The only step I didnt take was installing rubygems since it comes prepackaged with the ruby oneclick installer.
