Changes Not Being Reflected

Hi there

Hopefully this is a simple problem and I am just being a novice

I have a simple php file that refers to CSS.

If I make changes to the CSS fles then refresh in the browser the changes are not shown.

I can sometimes get them to work if I delete all the files from the www directory and then view the php file again but this doesn't always work.

This is highly frustrating as I am trying to layout a screen using CSS and cannot see my changes which makes the task impossible.

Any ideas??

Thanks

Oliver

I have just solved my own problem when i installed the latest version.

When I installed I selected the directory that I do all my changes in as my host directory. Before I just used the default www directory....! Doh!

How do I change the host directory if I was to work on a new website though???

Hi Tsango,

To use a different host directory (as you put it) left mouse click on the wamp tray icon and select config files then httpd.conf search for DocumentRoot "C:/wamp/www" (this is the default) and change the path to reflect your new path to your docs.

Be sure to stop and then re-start Apache for this change to be made. httpd.conf is read ONLY as Apache starts.

Regards,

Andy.
