Installing WAMP 1.6.4a

I'm trying to upgrade from WAMP 1.4.6 to 1.6.4a and everything seems to install fine, but....
When I try to access PHPMyAdmin it fails to display and the browser hangs?
I notice that the two folders phpadmin and sqllightmanager are not in the www directory anymore but in another location. Are there any changes that I need to do to any ini files etc to get it to run properly, I accepted all defaults when installing from the install exe. I can re-install version 1.4.6 and everything works fine again but I would like to upgrade as I need some of the new functionality. I havent tried to move any of my files at this point so it's a clean install. Any advice would be very much appreciated.
