How to enable MySQL 5 strict

Hello,
I'd like to know how to enable MySQL 5 strict mode. Strict mode should be enabled by default, but it currently is not.
I've heard of running this command: SET @@global.sql_mode='STRICT_TRANS_TABLES,NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUTION'
would work... but there is no where to run it in mysql administrator?
Thanks.

No, I didn't think it is possible in phpMyAdmin. It's for managing the databases not the MySQL server settings.
But if you have an idea let me know.
